Our cafeteria, Tully's. I don't typically buy from there--I'm a commuter so it's cheaper to pack--but I have had some of the best conversations with my friends in this space. Be it between classes or after a long day, sitting down, and just having a moment to catch up with your pals is really important. It's also where I have gotten to know a lot of my now-really-good friends, so it has a special place in my heart.
Learn to ask for help. In college, professors do not typically check up as much as high school teachers did. Because of this, the second you know you are struggling, reach out to someone for help. Being able to reach out when you need to for support and assistance is integral to being a successful college student.
How small the campus is. I attended a small high school and loved the relationships I was able to form with my teachers. This made it so much easier to get help and support when I needed it, as they were familiar with my learning preferences and knew how to properly support me. At Berks, professors make an effort to get to know students personally, which helps to facilitate learning both in and outside the classroom.
2021 First-Year Orientation. Before this event, I did not really know anyone at Berks, nor had I been on campus that often. Being part of Welcome Weekend enabled me to get to know a lot of the students here at Berks and helped me to make a lot of friendships that I hadn't previously had.
