It is ok not to be perfect! I wish I would've listened to that advice when I came to college for the first time. College can sometimes get overwhelming with classes, clubs, and just life in general, so it is ok to give yourself a break from time to time and realize that you are doing the best you can and that nobody is perfect, even if it does not feel that way.
I wanted to attend somewhere that felt like home. When I toured Berks and met some of the people in the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology program, I saw how unified everyone was and the excitement around the Berks campus. I knew that I needed to become a part of that excitement.
Meeting my best friends, who I consider family now. One of my biggest fears coming into college was being away from home without friendships to get me through it. Luckily, I met so many amazing people at Berks; I sometimes forget why I was so worried in the first place!
My favorite place on campus would have to be Thun library; I spend a lot of my time there as a student library assistant and a Penn State Berks student. The atmosphere is welcoming and has so many great resources available. It's also a place where you can feel part of the Penn State community by seeing other students feel at home at the library.
