Tour Guide at Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Berks
Class of 2022
Hometown: New Providence, PA
Major: Psychology
My favorite location on campus is the Cyber Cafe. Stopping in before class to get some coffee or a quick snack is definitely my go to when I have morning classes.
I have a lot of memorable experiences at Berks. However, I think that by far my first year at Berks was full of memorable experiences. Living on my own for the first time, meeting so many new people, participating and doing different things around campus, and having the best time with my roommate.
I always knew I wanted to go to Penn State but I wasn't totally sold on going to UP. I come from a small town and a small high school and was more comfortable going to a smaller college. When I visited Berks I felt totally at home. I had no nerves as I walked around campus and everyone was so nice. It was overall the perfect choice for me and I am so glad that I chose Berks to attend for all 4 years of my college experience.
Some advice I would give to incoming students is to communicate with professors. The professors here are willing to help and assist you with so many things so do not be scared to ask questions or set up meetings with them.
